AquAEquestrian is equipped with two vibrating floors, the FMB Combi Floor and the Theraplate. Using vibration Therapy can help stimulate blood circulation throughout the body, and can be used to help treat inflammation, speed up the healing process, reduce pain, and aid in the prevention of injury. It can also be used to help promote the development of muscle tone, and bone density, in performance horses. As it is a standing therapy, it can easily be used to treat horses on box rest or in rehabilitation routines.

FMB Combi Floor - Vibration and PEMF Therapy

The Activo-Med Combi Floor and scales is a state-of-the-art equine therapy floor which combines controlled vibration with pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy. The electromagnetic field is created by electromagnetic coils situated under the floor bed. The Activo-Med Combi Floor works on the whole horse, from the floor up.

The Activo-Med allows us to select either individual therapies (vibration single use or electromagnetic single use) or a combination of therapies for your horse (both vibration and electromagnetic together). Each intensity and frequency can be tailored to individual horses and their requirements.

TheraPlate and Vortex Wave Therapy


TheraPlate utilizes a low-amplitude orbital motion for rehabilitation and sports conditioning. The platform’s motion causes muscles to rhythmically contract and release, relaxing the tissues while enhancing muscle tone and increasing circulation. The increased circulation, in turn, has a plethora of benefits, ranging from improved healing rates of many soft-tissue injuries to increasing bone density.

TheraPlate uses Zone Vortex Wave therapy. The TheraPlate has been designed by experts and is the result of more than 30 years of experience. This technology can be used in the treatment and prevention of injuries.

Each session lasts up to 20min for experienced/regular users. Initial users are recommended introduce this system gradually. We will agree a plan with you upon arrival. Time will be taken on initial session to introduce horses to the floor and get them used to the feel. Please be aware your horse may only spend 10 minutes on the vibrating floor time on first use.
